NOTE: The current round of branding research surveys are now closed. We will post additional information on follow-up research once the committee finalizes those plans.
SO, WHAT IS A BRAND?
It is the promise that the chamber makes to its members and its community to provide, serve, do, be, and become.
WHAT IS "REBRANDING?"
Rebranding is a process through which we will better understand what people think of the chamber, what they want in a chamber, and how the chamber can better serve the community today.
WHY REBRAND? IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH WHAT WE HAVE?
The knowledge and insight gained through the rebranding process will help the Chamber evolve to a be a better chamber, to better serve our members, and the community. It is not broken now, but it is dated. This will help us become an organization better suited to serve the community we all live in today.
HOW WILL WE REBRAND?
We will begin with research. We will be asking you to participate in various levels of research, ranging from surveys to focus groups. We will ask a variety of people for their input, evaluate the answers, apply the input to a process which helps us define the brand, then build the things that represent it, the name, logo, language, style, colors, and images that define the brand through communication.
HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE AND WHO WILL PAY FOR IT?
It will take all of the 2013 year and that is in part the answer to the second question. Because the chamber is tapping into the resources of the community and utilizing people who donate their time and talent to help the chamber and the membership, we won’t have a big bill from an outside company
